Clinton Before Duma?

MOSCOW -- U.S. President Bill Clinton may address State Duma deputies when he visits Moscow on June 4 and 5, a Communist Duma deputy said Thursday.

According to Viktor Zorkaltsev, the speaker of the lower house said Clinton had expressed a desire to address deputies of the Duma during his visit, which follows Vladimir Putin's victory in last month's presidential election.

The appearance of a world leader before Russian deputies in the Duma would be a rare event. Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko addressed parliament last year.
