NATO Visit Unlikely

MOSCOW -- A planned visit to Moscow this month by NATO Secretary-General Lord Robertson is unlikely to take place because Russia objects to the proposed agenda, Interfax reported Tuesday.

Military sources quoted by Interfax said Moscow regarded the meeting as pointless unless NATO altered the agenda to see Russia as a "serious partner."

The proposals Robertson was intending to bring to Moscow, they said, "are not constructive in nature." Interfax said

Robertson's visit had been planned for Feb. 16.
