Kyrgyz May Annul

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan -- Kyrgyzstan's election commission said Tuesday it may annul some results from Sunday's general elections after five local election officials disappeared from their polling stations with documents after voting ended.

The missing officials were from the constituency of Felix Kulov, a popular opposition figure who has accused President Askar Akayev and his aides of trying to prevent him winning a seat in the legislature.

Kulov won 36 percent of the vote, but failed to gain the fifty percent needed to win outright.
