2 Dead in Bus Crash

Russian divers pulled two bodies from an ice-covered Ural Mountains lake Sunday and were searching for more after a bus plunged into the water, emergency officials said.

The small bus carrying fishermen fell into the Kamsky reservoir Saturday evening, apparently skidding because of wet weather, said a duty officer at the federal Emergency Situations Ministry. He said it was unclear how many people were aboard the bus. Interfax said there were nine.

Rescue divers working in near darkness under the reservoir's surface ice layer pulled up two bodies Sunday, the duty officer said on customary anonymity.

The accident occurred near the city of Perm, about 1,200 kilometers east of Moscow. No other details were available.
