Belarus-Libya Talks

TUNIS, Tunisia — Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi met Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko in Tripoli, Libya, on Wednesday, saying the two countries could cooperate as both leaders had the same principles.

"There is no obstacle standing in the way of cooperation between our countries because the two enjoy a free will. We are free to decide what suits our interests and that makes cooperation between us safe and strong," Gadhafi said.

Lukashenko, who said he was overjoyed by his encounter with Gadhafi, agreed: "Cooperation with Libya is very easy because of our similar positions."
