New LUKoil Stations

The country’s largest oil company, LUKoil, announced Monday that it had signed a $50 million deal with the Moscow regional government to build 164 gasoline stations by 2004, Itar-Tass reported.

Under the agreement, signed by LUKoil head Vagit Alekperov and Moscow region Governor Boris Gromov, the region will allocate land plots to LUKoil for the construction of the filling stations and oil bases, the news agency said.

LUKoil will hire regional companies to carry out the planning, construction and use of the objects.
