Lawmaker Talks to Milosevic's Brother

In Moscow, a State Duma member held talks with Milosevic’s brother, the Yugoslav ambassador, on Tuesday and ruled out an immediate reply to Russia’s offer of mediation in Yugoslavia’s political crisis, Reuters said.

Dmitry Rogozin, head of the Duma’s foreign affairs committee, said after the meeting he did not expect a response before Wednesday.

The ambassador, Borislav Milosevic, welcomed President Vladimir Putin’s offer of mediation but said he could not predict how the Yugoslav government would react.

Earlier, an opposition source in Belgrade said Kostunica would visit Moscow if he received an official invitation guaranteeing a meeting with Putin.
