Could Putin Have Been Outdone in His Travels?

In response to "" Putin Has Kept His Suitcases Packed "" Oct. 20. Editor, Reading the article titled ""Putin Has Kept His Suitcases Packed,"" I couldn’t help smiling and laughing. My president, Abdurrahman Wahid in Indonesia, has visited more than 30 countries since he took office in October. Of course, he’s criticized for being ignorant of our domestic problems because of his incessant travels. I think the number of Putin’s foreign trips is still ""normal"" and ""understandable."" My president has visited the United States, France, Britain, Germany, Libya, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Venezuela, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Myanmar, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Laos, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Canada, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Japan, China, Korea, Cuba, Iran, the Vatican, Italy, and others. Several countries were visited more than once. Unfortunately, he has not visited Russia, but I think he will do that in the future. He is also intending to visit Iraq.
