'Stylish' Mystery Solved

MOSCOW -- Umar Dzhabrailov, a well-known Moscow businessman, received the nomination of a group of supporters to make an official presidential bid on Monday, ending a minor Moscow billboard mystery.

Dzhabrailov's firm Plaza had hung giant white signs on Moscow streets for days that read simply: "We need a stylish president."

But Dzhabrailov, an ethnic Chechen who sports long hair and expensive outfits, ended the mystery when his campaign crew called a news conference at the Radisson Slavjanskaya Hotel, where he is an adviser to the general director and has offices.

His campaign chief of staff Dzhamsher Baltayev said the slogan of Dzhabrailov's campaign ahead of the early presidential election on March 26 would be "the power of wisdom."

"If we did not hope for victory, we wouldn't have done this," he said.
