LONDON -- Rock legend Mick Jagger doesn't want others to get satisfaction by using his famous name to sell their products.
The flamboyant Rolling Stones frontman has applied to the European Union to register "Mick Jagger" as a trademark for more than 20 items, British newspapers reported Wednesday.
They included eau de cologne, deodorant, fingernail treatments, footwear and headgear.
The Express newspaper quoted a spokesman for Jagger as saying the application had been made simply to prevent other people from using the veteran rocker's name to promote products.
"He did not sit at home and think, 'How can I market a new lip-gloss?'" the spokesman said.
