WHAT IS TO BE DONE?

Concert in Heavy Weather

As summer seems to skip over autumn and rush headlong into winter, why not contemplate the passage of time by taking in Vivaldi's and Piazzolla's celebrations of the seasons Friday night at the Conservatory Great Hall. The heat conjured up by Piazzolla's Four Seasons of Buenos Aires should be particularly welcome on a chilly Moscow evening. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and the hall is located at 13 Bolshaya Nikitskaya Ul. Tel. 299-9401/7412, 299-3681/3957. M. Pushkinskaya.

Warm to Flemish Art

A new exhibit of over 100 works from the Flemish golden age of painting recently opened at the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts; at least 80 of the works have never been shown before. The warm colors often used by Flemish masters in their landscapes and still lifes will also surely make visitors forget the coming winter chill. The gallery, at 12 Volkhonka Ul., is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tel. 203-7998/9578. M. Kropotkinskaya.
