Budget Revenues Rise

MOSCOW -- Budget revenues in the first half of this year totaled 13.3 percent of gross domestic product, and the primary budget surplus on current revenue and expenditures totaled 34.8 billion rubles ($1.37 billion), or 2 percent of GDP, Interfax cited the Finance Ministry as saying.

Revenues totaled 226.6 billion rubles, 10.1 percent more than the budget target and 3.8 percent more than revised targets set by the government, Interfax reported.

Spending totaled 288.4 billion rubles, or 102.1 percent of the planned amount, the agency said.
