Hot Chilis Take Moscow

The globe-trotting Red Hot Chili Peppers, on the crest of a wave after the release of "Californication," bring their unique Magik to the center of Moscow on Saturday night in a free, MTV-televised gig. The funk-rock-rap band has guitarist John Frusciante back in the lineup and will be sure to belt out one of the hit singles of the summer, "Scar Tissue." The Chilis presided over the fracas at Woodstock '99; let's hope Saturday night passes more peacefully. The concert starts at 7 p.m. on Vasilyevsky Spusk, just off Red Square behind St. Basil's. Metro: Ploshchad Revolyutsii.
