Fitness for the Family

If you and your children would like to get fit, head to Atlantis club where you can enjoy two swimming pools, one with a slide, and the other for adults. The club also has a tanning salon and a weight room. Located at 12 Krasnopresnenskaya Naberezhnaya, the club is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The cost is 450 rubles ($18) for adults Monday through Friday before 5 p.m., 900 after 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, half price for children under 12, free for those under 7. Run Off to the Circus

Antre Circus presents its new program dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the All-Russia Exhibition Center. You will see acrobats, trained animals and clowns. Also, you can visit a mini-zoo with a kangaroo, a raccoon and an elephant. The shows begin Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Kamenny Tsvetok Fountain at the All-Russia Exhibition Center. Tickets cost 15 to 30 rubles (60 cents to $1.20). Take the C Train

If your children are fond of traveling, take them on a short trip on the Children's Railroad. Located in the village of Kratovo, an hour away by a local train, this railroad runs a six-carriage train managed by teenage engineers and conductors. The trip lasts 50 minutes, giving a nice view of a picturesque lake. The Children's Railroad is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can get there from Kazansky Station.
