Farm Matters to Fore

WASHINGTON -- The United States insisted Thursday that agriculture would be front and center in the new round of World Trade Organization negotiations starting in November, after a series of high-profile farm disputes roiled trade relations with the European Union.

"[Agriculture] is a critical and important area," said Ambassador Susan Esserman, a deputy U.S. Trade Representative.
