Bankers Prosecuted

TOKYO -- Prosecutors indicted three former executives of Japan's failed Nippon Credit Bank on Friday on suspicion of covering up losses that led to the bank's collapse, the Kyodo agency said.

Former NCB chairman Hiroshi Kubota, former president Shigeoki Togo and former vice president Tadao Iwaki are accused of hiding more than 150 billion yen ($1.3 billion) in losses, Kyodo reported.

Prosecutors refused to confirm the report.
