State Sales Earn $187M

MOSCOW -- The Kazakh government earned $187 million from privatization sales of state-owned companies in the first half of the year, Interfax quoted Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Uraz Dhzandosov as saying Tuesday.

The government plans to sell shares in 10 more companies, and hopes to earn a total of 58 billion tenge ($439 million) by the end of the year, Interfax reported.
