Ships Head for Greece

MOSCOW -- Four ships are ready to depart for Greece from the Black Sea port of Tuapse to take Russian peacekeepers to Kosovo, Interfax reported Thursday.

The ships, carrying 220 soldiers and officers and 67 vehicles, are ready to depart Friday, the airborne forces headquarters said, Interfax reported.

Also Thursday two Il-76 planes took off from Russia with 119 solders and up to 5,000 tons of military equipment headed for Kosovo, Interfax said.
