Pig Let Loose in Town

This weekend the Cinema Center is showing "Babe: Pig in the City," a 1998 sequel to the 1995 comedy about the adventurous piglet. In this film Babe, fresh from his victory in the sheepherding contest, returns to Hoggett's farm, but after Farmer Hoggett is injured and unable to work, Babe has to go to the big city to save the farm. The film shows on Saturday and Sunday at 1:15 p.m. in Russian in the Small Hall of the center located at 15 Druzhinnikovskaya Ulitsa. Dzhungli Bunnies

Take your kids to the children's entertainment center Dzhungli, where they can enjoy a three-level plastic labyrinth, a dry swimming pool filled with little plastic balls, a toy punching bag, a special bar and a lot more. The center also organizes children's parties. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is located at the Ashkhabad cinema at 17A Chertanovskaya Ulitsa. Fairy Tale of Tsar and Son

"The Tale of Tsar Saltan," or "Skazka o Tsare Saltane," a play based on Pushkin's verse tale, will be performed at the Maly Theater on Sunday. The tale is about a tsar and his lost son who becomes the king of a fairy island. The play begins at noon and 3 p.m. at 1/6 Teatralnaya Ploshchad. Tickets are 12 to 50 rubles (50 cents to $2).
