Nuclear Plant Ablaze

KIEV -- A fire broke out at a Ukrainian nuclear power plant, damaging one idle reactor's water cooling system but causing no radiation leaks, officials said Wednesday

The fire, which started during a thunderstorm at the Rivne plant late Tuesday, may have been caused when lightning struck the reactor, said the Nuclear Regulation Administration, Ukraine's nuclear safety body.

The plant's firefighters took about three hours to put out the blaze.
