Moscow Loan Deal

MOSCOW -- The Moscow government has reached an agreement with creditors represented by Deutsche Bank to change the procedures for repaying the remaining $100 million on a $200 million syndicated loan provided in 1997.

The Moscow government will pay $25 million in principal and $5 million in interest Thursday and pay the rest in equal quarterly installments by March 31, 2000, Deputy Mayor Iosif Ordzhonikidze said.

Under the agreement creditors do not have the right to demand early repayment, he said.
