MOSCOW -- Prime Minister Sergei Stepashin and his Lithuanian counterpart, Rolandas Paksas, on Tuesday signed documents aimed at lifting trade restrictions and discussed oil supplies to the Baltic state.

The two men signed documents to avoid double taxation, on the protection of investments and cooperation between Lithuania and the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, sandwiched between Lithuania and Poland.

Stepashin said a proposed long-term agreement on supplying oil to Lithuania could be ready for signing in autumn. He gave no further details.
