Expect a Great Film


On Tuesday the Cinema Center is showing "Great Expectations." Based on Charles Dickens' timeless novel, this 1998 film version set in the United States in modern times tells the story of a young artist of modest means who falls in love with an unattainable, wealthy woman. Starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Ethan Hawke, the film shows in English with Russian subtitles at 9 p.m. in the Small Hall. The cinema is located at 15 Druzhinnikovskaya Ulitsa. Dance to the Theater


"The Baltic Quadrille" or "Pribaltiiskaya Kadril," a new play, is being performed at Yermolova Theater Center on Tuesday. Vladimir Gurkin's comedy, set in a provincial town, captures the adventures of two older couples. Directed by Georgy Tovstonogov, the play begins at 7 p.m. at 5 Tverskaya Ulitsa. Get the Blues
