Steven Saves Ryan


On Wednesday, the Cinema Center is showing "Saving Private Ryan," Steven Spielberg's 1998 drama starring Tom Hanks and Matt Damon. After learning that Private Ryan's three brothers have all died in the war, the U.S. government attempts to locate him to send him home. The mission is complicated because he is behind enemy lines and no one knows if he is still alive. The film is playing in English with Russian subtitles at 4 p.m. in the Small Hall at 5 Druzhinnikovskaya Ulitsa. Tickets are 80 to 150 rubles ($3.50 to $6.60). Tel. 205-7306. Feeding the Fool


The Anton Chekhov Theater presents "Dinner With a Fool," a Francis Weber comedy produced by Leonid Trushkin. Starring Oleg Basilashvili and Gennady Khazanov, the play is being performed at the Estrada Theater on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The theater is located at 20/2 Berezhkovskaya Naberezhnaya. St. Paddy's Day Bash


To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, head to the Vermel club to hear "Si Mhor" and "Telenn Gwad," two popular Moscow folk bands who sing in Gaelic, Breton and English.
