18% Earn Under $25

MOSCOW -- The incomes of the largest percentage of Russians is less than $25 a month, the State Statistics Committee said Tuesday, Interfax reported.

The committee said a whopping 18.1 percent of Russia's 147 million population earned under 600 rubles ($24.79) in February, including 5.5 percent that earned less than 400 rubles.

Only 13 percent of the population earned more than 2,000 rubles.
