Brad in Tibet


On Tuesday the Cinema Center is showing "Seven Years in Tibet," a 1997 film starring Brad Pitt as mountain climber Heinrich Harrer. The film shows in English with Russian subtitles at 9 p.m. in the Big Hall at 15 Druzhinnikovskaya Ulitsa. Tickets cost 50 to 150 rubles ($2.15 to $6.50). Tel 205-7306. Check out a recently opened exhibition featuring 170 avant-garde works -f large gravures, relief constructions, and chamber graphics f by Oleg Kudryashov, an artist who has returned to Moscow after 24 years abroad. The exhibit can be seen at the New Tretyakov Gallery daily except Monday, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m, 10 Krymsky Val. Meyerhold Celebration


Classical music lovers will enjoy an evening dedicated to the 125th birthday of Vsevolod Meyerhold, featuring excerpts from operas he staged at the St. Petersburg Mariinsky Theater and Maly Opera Theater: Wagner's "Tristan and Isolde," Mussorgsky's "Boris Godunov" and others, performed by the Vladimir Ponkin Orchestra.
