Saudi, Kuwaiti Visit

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia -- The Saudi and Kuwaiti foreign ministers are to go to Moscow to brief their Russian counterpart on the Gulf Arab position toward Iraq, Saudi Foreign Ministry officials said Thursday.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, did not say when Prince Saud al-Faisal of Saudi Arabia and Sheik Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah of Kuwait would visit Russia.

The two would also discuss the Mideast peace process with their Russian counterpart Igor Ivanov, the officials said. Saudi Arabia and Kuwait belong to the Gulf Cooperation Council, a loose alliance of six states that played a leading role in the Arab League's resolution of Jan. 24.
