Storm Hits Kaliningrad

MOSCOW -- A storm ripped through Russia's western enclave of Kaliningrad on Saturday, with winds gusting up to 126 kilometers an hour, Itar-Tass reported.

One man was killed when he stepped on a downed power line in the town of Svetlogorsk, Itar-Tass said.

Dozens of trees were uprooted, 20 buildings were damaged, and Kaliningrad's seaport and several factories were under water. About half the city was without electricity.
