MOSCOW -- The paying agent of the St. Petersburg administration, Chase Manhattan Bank, paid the $14.168 million fifth coupon Saturday to foreign holders of the city's eurobonds, the press service of the city's committee for finances has said, Prime-Tass reported.

The St. Petersburg U.S. dollar-denominated coupon bonds for $300 million were floated on June 5, 1997, for a period of five years. The final maturity date is June 18, 2002.

The next date of payment on the semiannual coupon is June 18, 2000.

St. Petersburg has made all coupon payments in full amount and on time, the news agency said.
