Boeing Names Buyers

SEATTLE -- Boeing Co. has announced jet orders worth $1.95 billion, including a $1.5 billion order for 10 777-200ER wide-body jets from Singapore Airlines Ltd. The Seattle-based aerospace giant said Thursday Alaska Airlines had also ordered two new narrow-body 737-700 jetliners and unveiled previous orders for eight more 737-700s from the Alaska Air Group Inc. subsidiary. The Alaska orders were valued at about $450 million at list prices. The eight previously unannounced orders were part of a block of 163 worth $9.5 billion that Boeing unveiled Dec. 15.

Boeing has now identified buyers for 70 of those 163 planes, which were ordered over the last 18 months.
