Auditors Appointed

MOSCOW -- The State Duma on Tuesday appointed PricewaterhouseCoopers and Unicon to audit the Central Bank for 1999.

PricewaterhouseCoopers was named the main auditor and will hire Russian firm Unicon to audit separate sections of the Central Bank report for 1999, including sections on the balance of payments and monetary and financial policy.

The Duma told the Audit Chamber to work with the companies to verify accounts and Central Bank operations under the law on state secrets.
