Blacklin In Place

MOSCOW -- The American Chamber of Commerce in Moscow has chosen not to accept the resignation of Scott Blacklin, the organization's president since 1997.

Blacklin offered his resignation earlier this month after his arrest in the United States for marijuana possession became public knowledge.

In a brief written statement to members Tuesday, Bruce Bean, chairman of the board, said Blacklin would continue to serve as president with the full support of the board.

Blacklin was fined $500 by the U.S. Customs Service and faces a misdemeanor charge brought against him by authorities in Atlanta, Georgia.
