BERLIN -- Germany expects to have won over Britain, France and Italy to support Deputy Finance Minister Caio Koch-Weser's bid to head the International Monetary Fund within the next few days, a government source said Thursday.

The source said Rome already supported the former World Bank executive and Chancellor Gerhard Schr?der would lobby his British and French counterparts at the OSCE summit in Istanbul and at a meeting this weekend of social democrat leaders in Florence. "It should all be sewn up by Monday," the source said.
