WHAT IS TO BE DONE?

Bye, Bye Blair Witch

Wednesday is your last chance to catch the Blair Witch Project at the Dome Cinema. This film aptly demonstrates that it is possible to unnerve your audience without an orgy of special effects or the presence of Keanu Reeves. There are showings at 7, 9 and 11 p.m. at the Renaissance Moscow Hotel, 18/1 Olimpiisky Prospekt. Tickets are 160 rubles. Metro: Prospekt Mira. Tel. 931-9873.

Moldovan Melodrama

You've quaffed the wines, but how much do you really know about this tiny country? "From the Life of a Man and the History of Mankind," presented as part of the ongoing Fourth Festival of One-Actor Shows, might be a chance to learn a bit about it, filling that gap in your cultural repertoire. The Cisinau One Actor Theater Company production will be at the Pushkin Theater affiliate Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are 30 rubles. The theater is at 3/25 Sytinsky Pereulok, Bldg. 5. Metro: Pushkinskaya. Tel. 209-1896. For information on the festival, call 229-3739/5672.

Jazzy Nightcap

Later Wednesday, discuss the finer points of hand-held camera techniques or developments in Moldovan theater while listening to the Israeli jazz duo Leonid Ptashka and Arali Kaminsky at Le Club, 21 Bolshaya Radishchevskaya Ul. From 8:30 p.m. Entrance 30 rubles. Metro: Taganskaya. Tel. 915-1042.
