Trains Collide

MOSCOW -- Seventeen railway workers suffered minor injuries when two otherwise empty trains collided Tuesday, a news report said.

The two trains slammed into each other at Moscow's Kazansky Station, Itar-Tass reported.

The railway workers suffered minor cuts and bruises and the trains were not seriously damaged, the report said.

According to a preliminary investigation, a controller gave both trains the go-ahead to move on the same track at the same time.
