Rally Attack Charged

KIEV -- Ukraine's national Security Service Tuesday formally charged two Russians with an attempt to kill a top presidential candidate in a grenade attack that left more than 30 people wounded earlier this month.

The two, identified as Vladimir Ivanchenko and Alexander Samoilov, were also charged with a "premeditated murder attempt in aggravated circumstances" and illegal arms possession, the Security Service said in a statement.

Natalia Vitrenko, the target of the attack near the city of Kryvyi Rih, escaped with slight injuries.
