Scorsese Epic


The American House of Cinema is now showing "Kundun" (1997), Martin Scorsese's beautiful film detailing the rise and exile of the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet. Screenings are at 5 p.m. Friday and at 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Radisson-Slavjanskaja Hotel at 2 Berezhkovskaya Naberezhnaya. Detective Story


"Zateryanniye v Rayu," or "Lost in Heaven," is Viktor Shamirov's new play, a detective story that begins as a love drama and then turns into a tale of political intrigue. Starring Olga Ostroumova, Emmanuil Vitorgan and Yevgeny Dvorzhetsky, the play is premiering at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Contemporary Play School at 29/14 Ulitsa Neglinnaya. Return of a Singer


Dorothy Emmerson will perform Russian romances and American show tunes at the 17th-Century Moscow Red Chambers on Friday. A Broadway actress and singer, she first came to Russia 52 years ago as the daughter of diplomat. The concert starts at 7 p.m. at 2 Ulitsa Ostozhenka.
