Long Strange Trip


On Thursday, the Cinema Center is showing "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," Terry Gilliam's 1998 adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's psychedelic classic about a road trip in the American West as a journalist and his attorney search desperately for the American dream. Starring Johnny Deep and Benicio Del Toro, the film shows in English with Russian subtitles at 9 p.m. in the Small Hall of the center at 15 Druzhinnikovskaya Ulitsa. Tickets cost 50 rubles ($2.35). Class Romance


The Marriage of Figaro, a booming musical version of Beaumarchais' witty play about a commoner who wants to marry his master's servant girl and encounters numerous adventures along the way, is performed Thursday at the Lenkom theater. Check out the "I Saw Lenin" exhibit of photographs, featuring Alexander Zabrin's works taken over the last 20 years in various cities of the former Soviet Union.
