Dubinin to Gazprom

MOSCOW -- Former Central Bank chairman Sergei Dubinin has been hired by Gazprom and is likely to get a seat on the board of the gas monopoly's Gazprombank, a newspaper reported Friday.

Gazprom deputy head Pyotr Rodionov said at a news conference Thursday that Dubinin, who resigned amid a government shake-up earlier this month, would probably be appointed a deputy head at subsidiary Gazprombank's board of directors, Kommersant Daily said. The paper suggested Dubinin was returning to familiar surroundings, since he had worked for another Gazprom holding, Imperial Bank, before moving to the Central Bank.

A Gazprom spokeswoman said Friday that Dubinin was "not as yet working" for the gas giant.
