Duma Eyes Rokhlin

MOSCOW -- The State Duma on Wednesday unanimously decided to include in its agenda a point on the creation of a special parliamentary commission to investigate Duma Deputy Lev Rokhlin's murder.

The motion, backed by 259 members, was put forward by the chairman of the veterans committee, Valentin Varennikov, representing the Communist Party of Russia.

Rokhlin, who led the opposition movement in support of the army, was killed at his countryside cottage on the night of July 3. His wife Tamara, already indicted by judicial authorities, has confessed to the crime.
