3 Bodies Found

MOSCOW -- Three bodies have been found in the woods near the country home where Russian lawmaker Lev Rokhlin was killed, but they are not related to his shooting, Itar-Tass said Wednesday.

Forensic tests show the three people died two weeks before Rokhlin was killed July 3, Itar-Tass said, quoting Alexander Zvyagintsev, a senior aide to the prosecutor general.

Rokhlin's wife, Tamara, has confessed to shooting the former general and has been charged with murder.

Alexander Morozov, deputy head of the executive committee of the Movement in Support of the Army, questioned how three bodies could have remained in the woods so close to the Rokhlin home without being found for more than two weeks. He said the bodies were badly burned and had gunshot wounds.
