Girl Fantasies


Enjoy the great acting of Harold Lloyd, by paying a visit to the Illuzion cinema Thursday to see "Girl Shy" (1924). The silent comedy by Fred Newmeyer starring the famous actor tells the story of a shy bachelor working in a tailor shop and trying to get a collection of his romantic fantasies published. Writer Struggle


Check out "The Preserve," a dramatization of Sergei Dovlatov's autobiographical story about a conflict between a writer and the powers that be. The play, starring Dmitry Zhuravlyov and Olga Makhovaya, is premiering at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Mossoviet Theater Stage "Pod Kryshei." Tickets cost 25 rubles ($4.25). Panadol Fusion


Head to the Vermel Club on Thursday to hear Detsky Panadol, a Russian-American group known for experimentation with rap, funk and ska fusions -- a new wave in the development of alternative music in Russia.
