Croat President Arrives

MOSCOW -- Croat President Franjo Tudjman arrived in Moscow on Thursday on a two-day visit that is to include talks with President Boris Yeltsin.

The two had been scheduled to meet in November, but the meeting was postponed due to Yeltsin's health problems.

Tudjman was expected to attend a concert Thursday night, then meet with Yeltsin and Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov on Friday.

Tudjman and Yeltsin are expected to sign an agreement on friendship and cooperation aimed at boosting the two countries' relations.

Tudjman has been primarily seeking good ties with the West, but he said on Monday that Croatia "must also develop good relations with Russia."
