Communist TV Protest

MOSCOW -- Demanding "television under the people's control," about 70 Communists picketed outside Moscow's main television center on Wednesday, Interfax reported.

The protesters, all members of the Moscow branch of the Communist Party, want to set up a council to run Russian television channels.

The group was not protesting freedom of speech, but wants "this speech to be truthful, to reflect the mood of the masses," Interfax said, citing Communist Deputy Alexander Kuvayev.
