Baltic Tango?

Check out Latvian-born singer Laima Vaikule, who Friday begins a string of performances of her new program, "Laima Tango-style." The stylish singer who spends most of her time in Los Angeles is returning to present new songs and choreography, as well as her old standards. Requisite Requiem

Mikhail Pletnyov conducts the Russian National Orchestra - joined by the Vesna Children's Chorus and Kaunas Chorus - in performing Vyacheslav Artemiev's Requiem. Witless Comedy

A young intellectual struggles with an old, bored, bureaucratic Russian community in "Woe From Wit," directed by film star Oleg Menshikov - who also plays the main character, Alexander Chatsky. The performance begins at 7 p.m. Monday at the Mossoviet Theater, 16 Bolshaya Sadovaya Ulitsa.
