Pepsi Overhaul

NEW YORK -- PepsiCo Inc. was expected to announce a reorganization Wednesday that would be designed to focus more on domestic marketing and improving relationships with customers, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The newspaper said Pepsi would name Dawn Hudson, who joined the company in 1996, to the resurrected job of domestic marketing chief. Brian Swette resigned as Pepsi's global marketing chief in May.

Jim Nolan, a veteran Pepsi executive, will oversee a new group combining customer and bottler relations, the Journal reported.

The new organization "will give us the competitive muscle we need to meet our objective, which is to be America's fastest-growing beverage company," said Philip Marineau, who heads Pepsi's North American operations.
