Brazil Loan Reviewed

WASHINGTON -- The Inter-American Development Bank may offer $10 billion in new emergency loans to Brazil and other Latin American states as part of an international push to end the global financial crisis.

Officials of the bank said Monday that its board will consider the proposal - which could more than double its lending capacity - next week, in time to support a $30 billion-plus International Monetary Fund rescue package for Brazil, Latin America's biggest economy.
