A Delon Classic


As part of "The star roles of Alain Delon" retrospective, the Cinema Museum shows on Wednesday "La Piscine (1969)," or The Swimming Pool, directed by Jacques Deray, about a love triangle with deadly consequences. Also starring Romy Schneider and Maurice Ronet, the film shows in original French with live Russian translation at 6:30 p.m. in hall 5 of the museum at 15 Druzhinnikovskaya Ulitsa. Games Fit for a King


On Wednesday the Lenkom Theater offers "King's Games," an adaptation of "The 1,000 Days of Anne Boleyn," dealing with the short, ill-fated marriage of Henry VIII and the feisty Anne Boleyn. Starring Alexander Lazarev, Leonid Bronevoi and Anna Mordvinova, the play begins at 7 p.m. at 6 Malaya Dmitrovka. Tickets cost up to 50 rubles ($3.15). Tel. 299-0708. Russian Ska at Vermel


For a sample of alternative Russian music, check out the band Vezhlivy Otkaz, or Polite Refusal, performing Wednesday at the Vermel club. The musicians will play the latest of their jazz-rock with ska and reggae elements at 9:30 p.m. at 4/5 Raushskaya Naberezhnaya. Cover charge is 30 rubles ($2). Tel. 959-3303.
