Index Adds Russia

Russia was added last week to J.P. Morgan's Emerging Market Index, and now accounts for 5.55 percent of the index, a J.P. Morgan official told Bloomberg.

Russia's share of another Morgan index, the Emerging Bond Index Plus, which includes bonds and loans, rose from 10.68 percent to 14.38 percent, John Cavanagh, a J.P. Morgan associate who compiles the indices, said Dec. 31.

He added that investment in Russian bonds could see a boost from the addition of the bonds to the two benchmark indices.
