Blaze at Kremlin Clinic

MOSCOW -- A fire broke out at the Kremlin's Health Center, but was doused quickly and there were no injuries, officials said.

The clinic -- which serves top officials in Russia's presidential administration -- was closed at the time of the fire, said Alexander Yurkov, a spokesman for the Moscow city fire department.

The fire broke out Sunday in a stairwell and spread to three floors of the clinic, located in central Moscow about a kilometer from the Kremlin, Interfax reported. It took firefighters 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

Yurkov said he had no information on the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
